About
John (b. 1989) is an award winning artist from Jacksonville, FL. His studio is based in Ponte Vedra, Florida, where he lives with his wife and two children. His work is a meditation on nature and the delicate balance it represents. He draws upon the beauty of his environment to infuse vivid detail into each one of his paintings. He aims to have viewers of his work get lost in his paintings in order to communicate the flow state he experiences when creating his work.
John is influenced by Abstract Expressionists from the mid-twentieth century. He is particularly drawn to the painters’ ideas of art as a unique form of communication and language even in its most abstract state.
