I am a self-taught abstract artist based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. I have been nominated as a Top Abstract Artist by the American Art Awards and my work was showcased on concert poster for the Grammy winning band ‘The Strokes’.

Through my paintings, I strive to merge abstraction with the tangible, delicate, and vibrant life found in the natural world. My work draws on fractal patterns and color theory. This is to draw my viewer's attention to the immense transformations that are constantly occurring all around them.

I am influenced by artists including Barnett Newman, Hans Hofmann, Jackson Pollock, Joan Mitchell, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler, Wassily Kandinsky, Philip Guston and Willem de Kooning. I am particularly drawn to these painters’ ideas of art as a unique form of communication and language even at its most abstract point.

Along with these artists, my work is closely tied to the books that have left an impact on me. I am deeply inspired by the complex language of modern and post-modern writers (James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, Jorge Luis Borges, William Faulkner, William Gaddis, David Foster Wallace, and many others) as well as poetry specifically the work of William Carlos Williams and E.E. Cummings.

Finally, a key part of my work is giving back to charity. I have worked with the below national and local charities for a number of years. It helps bring meaning to my work and to my progress as an artist.
